ESTHER GARCÍA URQUIJO
Esther García Urquijo (1985) was born in Madrid. Her artworks cover different disciplines as sculpture pieces, photography, video or drawing and painting. Each project is built as an unique piece where all the elements complement and provide a common meaning as a whole. Her artwork is about pleasure and desire and their politic and economic factors.
Esther studied filming and performance productions before studying Fine Arts.
She has participated in diverse exhibitions at Fernando Pradilla gallery of Juan Francisco Casas de la Carolina showroom in Jaén. Esther also participated at Centro of contemporary creation la cárcel de Segovia as part of the award Galerías V by the townhall of the city. Granted by the the ministry of culture in Tabacalera Cantera and her project was chosen to promote these grants for the next year. Residence of center Oficinas do Convento en Montemor o novo en Portugal. In 2020, “Statuarum una teoría sobre los poseologistas”, individual exhibition in space RL78 in Usera.
